Professor Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X, is a central figure in Marvel Comics' X-Men universe. He is a powerful mutant telepath and telekinetic, considered one of the most potent psychic minds on Earth.

Born with his mutant abilities, Xavier dedicated his life to fostering peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants. He founded Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters as a safe haven and training ground for young mutants to learn to control their powers and use them for good.

Professor X established the X-Men, a team of mutant heroes dedicated to protecting both mutants and humanity from threats, often facing prejudice and persecution. He believes in a future where mutants are accepted and integrated into society, striving to achieve this goal through education, diplomacy, and, when necessary, direct intervention.

Despite his noble intentions, Xavier's methods and decisions have sometimes been controversial. He has made morally ambiguous choices in the name of the greater good, and his actions have occasionally had unintended consequences, leading to conflict with his own students and allies. He is paralyzed and usually uses a wheelchair to get around.
